Sustainable approaches to the water - energy - food nexus

This satellite event will highlight current initiatives and projects in both South Africa and Sweden to the water – energy – food nexus. The focus will on new approaches for wastewater treatment, lignocellulosic biorefineries and valorisation of by-products in the food industry with focus on vegetable proteins. Furthermore, connections will be highlighted and common approaches/needs will be discussed. The event will not only update the general public on current activities but also stimulate interactions between the general public and researchers from South Africa and Sweden.
